Professor Saulo Cepeda is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under 5th-degree black belt Professor Marcio “Pé de Pano” Cruz. He began his Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2001 and has been training under Professor Cruz since 2016.
A proud U.S. Army and Air Force veteran, Professor Saulo served a combined 24 years in both military branches. His dedication to discipline and service carries over to the mat, where he leads with purpose and passion.
As the Program Director at the MCBJJ-Carrollwood location, he plays a key role in the development of both youth and adult students. After three years as a dedicated student, he was selected for the MCBJJ Instructor Qualification Course. Upon completion, he volunteered as an Assistant Coach for the Fundamentals Program for over a year before being personally appointed by Professor Cruz as a full-time coach in April 2019.
Today, he leads the Adults Fundamentals Program and Kids Program, delivering high-level instruction while fostering a strong, respectful learning environment.
